Real-world user test of Landing Page Service from RollerAds

User case study: Landing Page Service test

Over half a year ago, we launched Landing Page Service to help reduce policy-triggered risks and bring your push earnings back on track. During this time, we’ve seen only a few policy-related impacts, and clients’ overall earnings have remained stable.

Recently, one of our users shared a case study on the affLIFT forum describing how he tested Landing Page Service and the results he achieved. He kindly allowed us to share it so our audience can see how the service helps run a profitable push business while reducing implied risks.

Without further ado, let’s dive into the case study.

Part 1: The Mexico run

The goal of the case study was to test three setups with the same landing page:

Setup 1: LP1 had RollerAds push code and was connected to RollerAds Landing Page Service.

Setup 2: LP2 had RollerAds push code but wasn’t connected to RollerAds Landing Page Service.

Setup 3: LP3 had another platform’s* push code.

*Another platform is a popular ad network, whose name we can’t disclose due to confidentiality reasons.

So our user opened 3 new push zones (two on RollerAds and one on another platform).

Traffic was evenly allocated across the three landing pages, with each receiving 33%. Key metrics tracked included daily new subscribers by zone, unsubscribes, impressions, and overall profit.

3-day results

After three days of running traffic, the initial results from RollerAds with Landing Page Service were as follows:

After 7 days of running, this is how things looked with the first setup—RollerAds with Landing Page Service:

Comparison of results for all setups:

During the first 11 days of the test, none of the landing pages received a flag, and there were no significant spikes in unsubscribes. The two landing pages using RollerAds code performed similarly, with the one integrated with Landing Page Service generating slightly higher revenue ($12.32) compared to the second one ($11.55).

Another platform also generated revenue but earned less overall ($4.60), likely due to a lower number of impressions delivered.

Part 2: The Brazil run

The second part of the test was devoted to another GEO—Brazil. The plan was the same:

  • Setup 1: LP1 had RollerAds push code and was connected to RollerAds Landing Page Service.
  • Setup 2: LP2 had RollerAds push code but wasn’t connected to RollerAds Landing Page Service.
  • Setup 3: LP3 had another platform’s push code.

17-day results

Comparison of results for all setups:

Over the first 17 days of the test, none of the landing pages received a flag. Unlike the previous Mexico test, where both the versions with and without Landing Page Service generated similar revenue, in this case the version using Landing Page Service achieved higher revenue ($22.03 compared to $12.49)

I’m pretty happy with these results so far. The only thing I’m not sure at the moment is whether LPS can outperform the campaign without it. So far, the result is 1:1. Not sure why the revenue on another platform is so low…

Part 3: The Indonesia run

As the results of using RollerAds push tag with LPS and without showed almost similar results, our user decided to continue the test. This time, it was Indonesia.

  • Setup 1: LP1 had RollerAds push code and was connected to RollerAds Landing Page Service.
  • Setup 2: LP2 had RollerAds push code but wasn’t connected to RollerAds Landing Page Service.
  • Setup 3: LP3 had another platform’s push code.

Comparison of results for all setups:

Over 19 days of the test, none of the landing pages received a flag. In the Indonesia test, the setup using Landing Page Service generated higher revenue ($13.28) compared to the second setup ($11.30) and another platform ($4.22).

So, after I’ve tested 3 GEOs (Mexico, Brazil, and Indonesia), Landing Page Service showed better results in 2 tests. Seems that another platform is still behind when it comes to revenue in all three tests. I was hoping to see better results from them.

Part 4: The Philippines run

There was another GEO our user wanted to try—the Philippines—with the same three setups as before.

This time, none of the landing pages received a flag either.

In this test, RollerAds Landing Page Service again showed greater revenue compared to the landing page without LPS. Another platform didn’t generate much revenue again. It’s a bit surprising, but that’s how it went.

All-in-one results

Here are the final results from all 4 GEOs that were tested:

In conclusion:

  • RollerAds Landing Page Service outperformed other setups across all tested GEOs.
  • None of the landing pages in these tests received flags.
  • Compared to pages without Landing Page Service, RollerAds LPS generated approximately 26% more revenue.
  • Another platform, by contrast, underperformed in all four GEOs tested.

If I was to start again, I’d just pick RollerAds Landing Page Service and send all my traffic there.
